From the 16th to 18th of April, 2025 Female Sex Workers Association (FSWA) implemented emergency outreach clinics activities that addressed key components of the HIV care cascade as well as structural components to ensure that FSWs access comprehensive services in a KP friendly environment free from stigma and discrimination. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MoH) through the District Health Management Teams (DHMTs) in all the targeted districts, the Police through the Victim Support Units (VSUs), bar owners and other community gate keepers, the following essential services were provided; HIV Testing services (HTS), ART services, distribution of preventive commodities including condoms, lubricants, PrEP, PEP, Gender based violence (GBV) screening, Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) screening and treatment. Despite Trump’s stop order, FSWA managed to reach Female Sex Workers (FSWs ) with health services in collaboration with MoH as it stands to be critical in the sex workers communities on linking of newly HIV diagnosed FSWs to ART services and diagnosis with STI and to receive treatment.
